What is Chlorella?

Chlorella is a genus of single-celled green algae. Green algae or Chlorophyta, is very rich in natural beta-carotene, Vitamin D and GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid) and contains all nine essential amino acids.

Chlorella is a complete protein. Complete proteins, (also known as high quality proteins,) contain all the essential amino acids in amounts perfectly suitable for human use.

Generally, most plant proteins tend to be limited in essential amino acids, and proteins derived from animal foods are complete.
